Around 1990, Wendell, the eldest member of the Martin family, started a used appliance business called Martin's Used Appliances. He began working out of a small shed and reconditioned and sold used residential household appliances. The business continued to grow and more of his brothers joined him. The business moved to a larger building and again continued to grow with eventually as many as eight people working to recondition, sell, deliver, and service the used appliances. We offered a one year warranty on all appliances and serviced only our own products we sold. At the end of 2019, we began to realize that we needed to make a change in the business. The appliance industry had changed dramatically over the years and the longevity of the current appliance models had decreased. It was getting harder to make the business profitable. The decision was made to start a appliance service and parts company beginning in 2020.
